Charlotte Allman Biography

Charlotte was born in Summit, NJ.  Her family moved to Westfield, NJ, a small suburban town about 45 minutes west of New York City, where Charlotte grew up.  Charlotte has fond memories of driving around diverse neighborhoods, looking at different housing styles such as old Victorians, colonials, and ranch homes.  As a child, Charlotte wanted to be able to find the perfect home for a family in search of their dream home.

She graduated from Douglass College, Rutgers University with a degree in Political Science. Charlotte entered the growing field of financial services, specializing in retirement account administration.  After a 15-year career of providing exceptional customer service and educating consumers for companies such as Merrill Lynch and Prudential Securities, Charlotte decided to pursue a different career path- education.  While working several jobs in pursuit of her graduate teaching degree, Charlotte never lost sight of providing excellent customer service, helping others, and understanding client’s needs.  These business skills are necessary in the field of education because if you are knowledgeable and meet your student’s needs—both you and your student will achieve success. Charlotte graduated with academic honors and married in 2001.  Charlotte became a teacher and a mother of three children.  In addition, Charlotte was elected as the president of the neighborhood Civic Association in Deer Park, NY.    

Her family moved to Dover, DE in 2006 in search of a change of lifestyle.  She wanted to live in a small town where people cared about one another and enjoyed simple pleasures, such as parades, Saturday football games and bicycling on country roads.  Charlotte’s husband feels that they have found our dream home in Delaware.  Charlotte obtained her real estate license because Charlotte wanted to utilize her customer service skills to educate buyers and sellers, and find the perfect dream home for her clients.
